On October 2, 2023, Akwa Ibom State Association of Nigeria (USA), Inc. (AKISAN USA) received 50 blood pressure (bp) monitors, complete with batteries, from Ibom Global Healthcare Initiative (IGHI). As part of their efforts to promote preventive medicine, these monitors are to be distributed to those in need in Akwa Ibom State.

Receiving the monitors, the National President of AKISAN USA, Mr. Itoro Akpan-Iquot, thanked the leadership and members of IGHI for their donation and promised to distribute them to deserving individuals in Akwa Ibom State during his next visit there.

IGHI is a nonprofit organization that carries out quality healthcare and humanitarian services, through medical missions, to under-served communities in the United States and developing countries.
